Our Facility
The building was built in 1985 with not many neighbours.
Before Dancutter moved into the building in 2017, there had been a printing press factory in the house for 32 years. Since the building was once built for printing, the house contains several darkrooms that were used for developing photos. These are now used for storage and of course a small library. We still find treasures from the former work as a printing house.
In our former building in Stoholm, the weather was a crucial factor when producing hoses. Due to the size of the building, it was necessary to use the outdoor area, and if there was snow, it had to be cleared first. That’s why it was also love at first sight when we stepped into the long, straight hallway in Viborg. Despite the colourful walls.
Fortunately, we don’t need to make hoses in the hallway, as we now have large and spacious production facilities.
After some tender care, we now have nice, bright spaces.
First Cutter
The development within lateral reinstatement cutters over the last 30 years has been incredible.
In 1989, the inventor of the world’s first cutter wanted to find the easiest way to open access to branch pipelines from a newly renovated sewer pipe, without digging up a whole garden or road surface. This question led to the development of a prototype for the first cutter. An arm was fitted with a cutter head and skateboard wheels which the inventor borrowed from his son.
Knowledge gained through practical experience has made it possible to develop the cutters we produce today. When working on the renovation of narrow pipes with multiple vertical and horizontal bends, our simple and flexible cutter solutions are still cost and time-efficient alternative to digging up the pipes.
